What does a cave that Jesse James allegedly hid out in and a turn-of- the-century federal courthouse
have in common? They both are meeting
and event venues in Lincoln, Neb. Whether you are looking for a traditional hotel
ballroom or something more unique,
Lincoln has a venue for you.
Lincoln’s newest event facility is actually a brewery built on top of a historic
cave. Blue Blood Brewing recently opened
its 12,000-square-foot brewery on top of
the 5,600-square-foot Robbers Cave that
was first documented back in the 1860s.
Rumor has it Jesse James and his gang
hid out in the cave after bank robberies in
Minnesota. Groups are able to rent out the
brewery floor to meet and socialize among
the 7,200 square feet of stainless steel
brewing equipment, with the entrance to
the cave just steps away.
If a “former hideout” of one of history’s
most famous outlaws is a little too lawless
for you, how about meeting in a former
U.S. Court House. The Grand Manse,
located in downtown Lincoln, was built in
1904 and as the name reflects, the building itself is a “great house” filled to the
roof with marble, terrazzo, oak, maple and
History comes alive in the event spaces
located here which provides the right
amount of elegance.
Blue Blood Brewing and The Grand
Manse are just two of the unique venues
in Lincoln. Come see for yourself!
