“There’s something about watching the
sunset from the water that makes it more
magical,” Parchem said.
The sunset dinner cruise operates most
evenings. During the 2.25-hour outing,
attendees can enjoy surf-and-turf fare, live
entertainment onboard and a torchlit stroll
through Witches Gulch.
Another option, Ishnala Supper Club,
voted the No. 1 supper club in Wisconsin,
is situated right on Mirror Lake.
“It is a beloved spot for groups to enjoy
an Old Fashioned,” Parchem said.
Wisconsin Dells is also a purveyor of some
fine beverages. Interested groups can toast
over either a cold beer or a delicious glass

While meeting in Wisconsin Dells, a group of humans—be it a tribe, gang or mob— can spend time with a flock, pack, herd or pride from the animal kingdom. There are several furry experiences in the Dells area for groups.

In nearby Baraboo, Wis., the International Crane
Foundation ( www.savingcranes.org) is the only place
in the world where groups can view all 15 species of
cranes. Guided tours are available and interested groups may include add-on activities such
as a hike or a seed-collecting excursion.
At press time, a $10 million expansion was scheduled for completion by spring 2020 and
will include a new visitor center, expanded crane exhibits and renovation of the off-exhibit
breeding space for endangered cranes.
Rock Springs, Wis.-based Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue & Educational Center (www.wis
consinbigcats.org) is home to some beautiful lions, tigers and leopards, many of which were
abused, neglected or unwanted former pets.
Multiple tours are available here, including self-guided tours, a morning feeding tour and
an after-dark tour, during which groups can observe the cats when they’re at their most

lovers in the group will appreciate.
