The 450- room JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort
& Spa is set to complete its new 15,000-square-foot
Paradise Ballroom by early July. The new space will
also add 20,000 square feet of outdoor and prefunction space, bringing the resort’s total meeting and event
space to 95,000 square feet. In addition to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the new ballroom will be the first
of its kind in the Marriott portfolio to house featured
pieces of artwork from Marriott International’s Executive
Chairman and Chairman of the Board J. Willard “Bill”

The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa
completed the redesign of all 514 guest rooms and
suites. The new look has a Mediterranean feel with
custom furnishings, grass cloth wall coverings and
vintage coastal artwork. In addition, six ground floor
rooms will receive newly landscaped patio areas,
complete with private fire pits. The resort features over

The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa opened in July.
The property, located north of San Diego, boasts 208
guest rooms, a signature restaurant, spa, private rooftop terrace and more than 70,000 square feet of
meeting space. The Water Tower rooftop
terrace offers panoramic views and
can be rented for private functions.

The Oxford Hotel completed its renovation, which
showcases the property’s historic past and highlights
an urban experience. The refresh includes updates
to the hotel’s lobby and 80 guest rooms. The hotel’s
10,000 square feet of meeting and event space was
revamped with new carpet, lighting, wall coverings and
furniture. The property boasts three ballroom spaces,
including the Grand Ballroom and Oxford Theater,
which are both housed in a restored carriage house
next to the hotel and have capacities of up to 240
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, located on Maui’s North
Shore, completed a $30 million transformation.
The resort features 463 renovated guest rooms, an
enhanced lobby and pool experience, and new dining
outlet, Kai Cafe. The tri-level pool and sun deck are
now accompanied by Cabana Suites complete with
butler service and flat-screen televisions. The resort
offers 173,120 square feet of event space and the
indoor space includes a 15,300-square-foot ballroom.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle-North/Lynnwood com-
pleted renovations, including a new atrium and common
spaces, reimagined restaurant and bar, updated pool and
meeting space. The 240-suite hotel’s completely restruc-
tured atrium features a 25-foot water feature and living
wall. The 12,800-square-foot atrium can host
events of up to 800 guests. The meeting
space includes boardrooms and a
ballroom that can accommodate up
to 600 guests or be divided into
three venues for smaller events.

Eldorado Resorts debuted THE ROW, a newly branded destination in Reno that unites the Eldorado Resort Casino, Silver
Legacy Resort Casino and Circus Circus Reno.
This new destination stretches across four
city blocks and encompasses 25 restaurants,
22 bars and lounges, 11 nightspots, over 4,000
guest rooms, 227,000 square feet of casino
space and over 188,000 square feet of meeting
and event space.

The rebrand is part of Eldorado Resorts’ over
$100 million investment in renovating all 4,000
guest rooms, new restaurants, remodeled event
spaces and common areas.
Phase II of the master renovation plan is now
underway and includes the addition of The Spa at
Silver Legacy and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, both
set to open in late 2018. The restaurant will seat
250 people and private dining space.
