The new, 250-room Kimpton property,
The Sawyer, opened in October 2017 and
immediately claimed a spot among the
top tier of Sacramento hotels.
It’s ideally situated less than 10
blocks from the convention center
next to the Golden 1 Center, and it
adjoins Downtown Commons, the new
entertainment and shopping district.
Expected to open in late 2019 is a new
170-room Hyatt Centric.
The 11-story property will be located in
a former historic hotel and will include a

will sit right next to Golden 1 Center and

New Renovations and Expansions
In May 2017, the Sacramento City
Council approved a plan to move
forward with design plans to renovate the
Sacramento Convention Center.
This exciting project will create a
dynamic center for conventions, meetings,
cultural experiences and more for years to
come. An expanded exhibit hall of 161,500
total square feet and a new 40,000-sq.-
